LOS ANGELES KINGS TEAM REPORT

Record: 24-23-8-1, 57 points
Last result: 6-3 loss vs. Edmonton, February 12
Streak: Lost 2
Next game: February 14 at Dallas

Los Angeles saw its eight-game homestand from late January to early February as a chance to make a statement in the Western Conference. But the Kings went 2-5-1-0 during the stretch and fell four points behind eighth-place Edmonton following a 6-3 loss to the Oilers on Monday.

D Rob Blake returned to the Kings lineup on Monday after missing two games with a shoulder injury. Blake had four shots on goal but did not get a point.

Los Angeles' penalty-killing unit has been one of culprits of the dismal homestand, allowing the opposition to score six times with the man advantage over the last three games. The Kings allowed Edmonton to score three times with the man advantage on Monday after letting Washington get a pair of 5-on-3 power-play goals on Saturday.

RW Glen Murray notched his second two-goal game of the season on Monday. His other two-goal effort came in a 3-3 tie against Phoenix on November 7.

G Jamie Storr has been pulled in each of the Kings' last two games.
